Little Black Submarines by The Black Keys
El Camino is possibly the best album of 2011. FACT.
Listen to this song before it becomes a commercial success like Lonely Boy (don’t get me wrong I love Lonely Boy, and I think the video is legendary).
The song starts off with just Auerbach’s vocals and an acoustic guitar. As the song reaches just over its first minute, more instruments join in, until the song builds up into a proper garage rock song.
When they break into that garage rock sound, it kind of reminds me of their previous more blues rock albums. If you listen closely in some parts, you get a hint of a blues guitar solo sort of drowned under the beautiful noise. Or that could all just be my imagination.
